Privacy
Plain version: we keep what you send us so we can do the job you asked for, we don’t sell it, and we don’t run trackers on this site.
What we collect
Only what you type in and send. From the enquiry form that's your name, telephone number, email address, whatever you tell us about the part, and any photographs you attach. If you email us instead, it's the same list and it lives in our inbox.
Why we keep it
To answer you, to measure and draw your part, and to quote and make it if you order. Nothing else. We don’t send marketing email and there’s no newsletter to be subscribed to.
Who else sees it
Us, and the workshop that turns your parts when there’s an order — they need the drawing, not your contact details. Two outside services are involved in running this site: Cloudflare, which serves the pages, and Stripe, which handles payment if you buy a drawing. Stripe takes your card details directly and we never see or store the number.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no tracking cookies and runs no analytics. Your browser may store the page files themselves so the site loads faster; that is all.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don't turn into a job are deleted once we're sure they aren't coming back. Drawings and order details are kept, because people come back years later for the same baluster and we'd rather have the measurements than start again.
Asking us to change or delete it
Under Canadian privacy law you can ask to see what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@ottawaspindles.com and we'll sort it out. If you're not happy with our answer you can take it to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
